Like any school, iQ Academy is more than just lessons. Comparable to entering a school building to participate in classroom instruction, you'll enter the online learning environment to access your courses.

Blackboard is the software that iQ Academy uses to present course content in grades 7–12. Blackboard does the following:

• Provides families with password-protected access to all computer-based course material
• Offers flexible navigation that makes it quick and easy to move from course to course
• Provides standard tools, so all courses have a similar look and feel
• Allows students and Learning Coaches to submit assignments, view corrected assignments, check grades, and communicate with classmates and teachers

Time Needed to Complete a Course*:

• One course is designed to take 36 weeks, or about 180 hours.
• Middle and high school students should plan on approximately one hour of work a day, 5 five days a week for each of their courses.
• In addition to the time spent online, high school and middle school students will need additional time to complete assignments and study for tests and exams.

	Research and submit assignments the easy way Access a variety of online resources for your research, and then submit your assignments electronically. Teachers in turn provide their feedback electronically, within 72 hours of receiving a completed assignment.
	Earn your diploma iQ Academy grants students a high school diploma and transcript recognized by colleges and universities throughout the country.
